Not all things go as planned. After careful consideration by the executive director and board of directors, the mini Best Horse Practices Summit has been postponed. All registrants have been refunded.

Our new date is October 31-November 2, 2025.

Thal Equine in Santa Fe, New Mexico, will remain our warm host, and, in an exciting turn, Jim Masterson and Patrick King will join us! Masterson is the founder of The Masterson Method and was a popular BHPS presenter in Kentucky in 2021 and 2022. King is an accomplished clinician in classical dressage and was an entertaining presenter in 2022. Jec Ballou, sadly, will not be able to make it. Dr. Doug Thal, who developed Horse Side Vet Guide and was a slated 2022 presenter waylaid by Covid 19, will present in Santa Fe.

What a lineup!

Registration begins April 1. Both Masterson and King are looking forward to collaborating with Ben Longwell, Daniel Dauphin, and Katrin Silva. Presentations will feature topics to improve your everyday and performance horsemanship and offer tools and skills to take home and incorporate into your horse journey.

The first 20 registrants will receive $100 credit at the trade show, which features Patagonia WorkWear, Stanley drinkware, and Knotty Girlz halters and leadlines.
